Argon welder — Huntington County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Huntington County, Indiana. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Your main tasks: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Rotating shifts.
