Now hiring: brick mason (Pennsylvania)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick mason in Chester County, Pennsylvania. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On the job you will handle: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $15 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
