Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Aransas County, Texas. The job is at a busy gas installation company. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Day-to-day duties: • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
