Civil works labourer — Plaquemines Parish

Now hiring: we are hiring a civil works labourer in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. You will work on a road and bridge project. What we are looking for: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain The role involves fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
