Immediate opening: offshore rigger (Kansas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Leavenworth County, Kansas. The job is at a power plant. Day-to-day duties: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
