Canteen cook wanted in Brunswick County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a canteen cook in Brunswick County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy restaurant kitchen. Day-to-day duties: • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch • Check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO • Monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks What we are looking for: • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
