Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Erath County, Texas. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
