MIG/MAG welder — Polk County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Polk County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
