Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machinist in Massac County, Illinois. The role involves: • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
