Immediate opening: trowel-trade bricklayer (Louisiana)

Now hiring: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Saint Helena Parish, Louisiana. On a typical shift you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Full-time, day shift. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
