Vacancy available: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Nsit Ubium, Akwa Ibom State. You will be based at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. The role involves set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches. Requirements: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
