Restoration bricklayer • Hyde County, North Carolina

Join our team: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Hyde County, North Carolina. The job is at a residential building site. Day to day you will spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. What we are looking for: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Performance bonus on top of base pay.
