Now hiring: GMAW welder (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Monroe County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
