GTAW welder wanted in Duchesne County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Duchesne County, Utah. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
