Vacancy available: we are hiring a pastry baker in Des Moines County, Iowa. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. You should have: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Food handler / hygiene certificate On the job you will handle: • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand Full-time with occasional weekends.
