Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Keya Paha County, Nebraska. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through.
