Vacancy available: garment machinist (North Carolina)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Wilkes County, North Carolina. Day to day you will operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. What we are looking for: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
