Great opportunity: fabricator-welder (New York)

Join our team: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Columbia County, New York. You will work on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
