We are recruiting: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Cumbria, England. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Your main tasks: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions 5+ years on the tools preferred.
