The role involves check engine oil, coolant and washer fluid levels before each shift; refuel the vehicle and keep the fuel receipts; follow fixed pick-up and drop-off routes to a set timetable; carry out pre-trip checks on tyres, brakes, lights and mirrors; report mechanical faults and dents to the depot office; reroute around roadworks and diversions while keeping to time.
