We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Jefferson County, New York. The job is at a container port. The role involves: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
