Urgent requirement: fettler (Virginia)

Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in City of Fairfax, Virginia. The job is at a busy iron foundry. On the job you will handle: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
