Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Talbot County, Maryland. On a typical shift you will keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling 4+ years on the tools preferred.
