Trainee butcher wanted in Natchitoches Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a meat processing plant. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required On the job you will handle: • Season and marinate meat on request • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone Meals and transport allowance provided.
