Shuttering carpenter — Port-Harcourt

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State. You will work at a reinforced concrete building site. You should have: • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork The role involves: • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Repair damaged plywood and timber shutters • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
