Tig welder wanted in Putnam County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Putnam County, Georgia. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
