Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Sevier County, Tennessee. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection The role involves: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
