TIG welder — Nottinghamshire

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a TIG welder in Nottinghamshire, England. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces The role involves: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish 6+ years on the tools preferred.
