Fettler — Torrance County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Torrance County, New Mexico. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On the job you will handle: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
