Great opportunity: crane rigger (Akwa Ibom State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane rigger in Urue Offong/Oruko, Akwa Ibom State. You will be based at a container port. Day-to-day duties: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
