Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane rigger in Alpena County, Michigan. On the job you will handle: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
