Garment machinist — Thayer County

Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Thayer County, Nebraska. The job is at a busy garment factory. What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance On a typical shift you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension.
