Urgent requirement: furnace operator (Pennsylvania)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings We offer $3,600 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
