Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium On a typical shift you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,700 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours.
