Immediate opening: nursery worker (Colorado)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a nursery worker in Rio Blanco County, Colorado. You will work at a plant nursery. You should have: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules The role involves sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers. $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
