Confectioner — Wilkinson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a confectioner in Wilkinson County, Mississippi. The job is at a busy bakery. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Day to day you will rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; score the top of loaves before baking. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
