Horizontal milling machine operator • Elliott County, Kentucky

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Elliott County, Kentucky. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. Your main tasks: • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Full-time with occasional weekends.
