Immediate opening: we are hiring a RCC mason in Tyrrell County, North Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms You should have: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
