Toolroom milling operator — Grand Traverse County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Day to day you will mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production. You should have: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T Rotating shifts.
