Now hiring: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Modoc County, California. You will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
