Garment machinist • Lycoming County, Pennsylvania

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. On the job you will handle: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Pay around $180 per day, based on your experience.
