Lifting rigger • Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State. You will be based at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Full-time, day shift.
