Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment presser in Talbot County, Maryland. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Your main tasks: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
