Great opportunity: tig welder (Alaska)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Bethel Census Area, Alaska. The job is on an industrial construction site. You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Day-to-day duties: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters Full-time, day shift.
