Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Dubuque County, Iowa. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors You should have: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $220 per day, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
