Vacancy available: concrete shuttering carpenter (New York)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Ulster County, New York. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking Day-to-day duties: • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
