Now hiring: we are hiring a maintenance painter in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a factory paint shop. Day-to-day duties: • Fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps • Hang lining paper and wallpaper, matching patterns at the seams • Strip old paint and wallpaper with scrapers and heat guns • Prep and prime metal, treating rust with red-oxide primer • Apply textured and weatherproof masonry coatings to exterior walls • Cut in neat edges along ceilings, cornices and door frames What we are looking for: • Own brushes and basic hand tools • A good eye for clean lines and an even finish 5+ years on the tools preferred.
