Gas meter installer — Powder River County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Powder River County, Montana. You will work in customers' homes and kitchens. Your main tasks: • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Full-time, day shift.
