Garment machinist — Barrow County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in Barrow County, Georgia. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus The role involves: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Pay around $27 per hour, based on your experience.
