Offshore rigger wanted in Evangeline Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a container port. Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals Day to day you will select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
